Madison Buxbaum, LiFT Your Fork’s Program Manager, on the high marks for the LiFT Your Fork Crew: ” The opportunity to cater to our community is something we are passionate and excited about! This catering was our largest one yet, but I knew I could rely on the skills of our LYF crew made up of LU students Jake Koch, Cameron White, and Matt Cantu to execute it with ease. LYF took care of planning, shopping, food prepping and day of set up/break down. We successfully made from scratch hearty lasagna and individual flourless chocolate tortes for over 465 people! We feel proud to receive rave reviews on the taste of our food as well as the service our guests received. Looking forward we hope that others within our community would consider LYF for any of their event catering needs. Whether it is weddings, birthday’s, meetings or luncheons we would love the opportunity to cater to you! Our LYF participants not only excel in culinary arts but also hope to have a long-term career in the hospitality industry. These students each intern in commercial kitchens and or have part time jobs within local restaurants.
