We have all been touched by this pandemic. COVID-19 has disrupted lives around the world. It has impacted every facet of our lives, personally and professionally, and yet we continue to find ways to stay connected with our LiFT community.
On Monday, August 24th, we could not have been more excited to welcome back all our LiFT learners, either in person or virtually. LiFT had a successful school opening with proper safety protocol and up to date CDC guidelines in place, including daily health screening requirements and mandatory face coverings, for the safety and health of all those on site at LiFT Academy and LiFT University. Currently, 67% of our student population is being served on campus. Our dedicated teachers and team members have done an incredible job of executing instruction in a hybrid setting, implementing many innovative and creative strategies to keep students both at home and in the classroom engaged, focused and learning.
The impact of COVID-19 on our everyday life can be grueling and has put students with disabilities in a more vulnerable position than ever before. LiFT has stepped in to meet every need we could for every student and LiFT family in “our world.” How it will further change life in the future is yet to be seen. What is for certain, however, is in these challenging times, our mission doesn’t stop and our dedication to excellence in serving our students carries on.
