I am a St. Petersburg, Florida native. For the past 6 years I’ve worked as a Teacher’s Assistant at Pasadena Community Church Preschool. During my years there I attended many conferences and unique trainings. These experiences, as well as my experience in the classroom have taught me a lot about the different ways children learn. I am extremely passionate about empowering all children to feel confident, and sure of themselves. I’ve seen firsthand what a difference Lift Academy can make in a child’s life, and I’m so excited to be a part of the Lift Team.
I am a mom to two amazing boys. Cannon is ten years old, and Isaac is twelve. Isaac began his journey at Lift Academy last year and is starting seventh grade this year. Through Isaac’s teachers, leaders, and peers he now feels safer in his own skin than he ever has before. I love that he is at a school where his differences are celebrated.
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, listening to music, and practicing meditation. I believe with all of my heart that encouraging children to be kind, accepting, and helpful towards one another can change the world.
